I bought a Dyson DC17 vacuum cleaner (Allergy model) and each time I use it on my wall to wall carpet, it pulls out a lot of carpet fiber. There is no height adjustment feature and I am afraid it will eat up my carpet eventually. I have a nice expensive carpet and I am afraid this vac cleaner will ruin it.
Any advise?

I’m trying to fix my Eureka vacuum cleaner (model number 4495a-1). It is a bagless vacuum and nothing that I vucuum up makes it to the cannister. All of the debris sits in the part of the hose that runs from the brush area through the base of the vacuum. Hope this makes sense. Anyone know what might be wrong?? Could it be a leak in the hose?

I am planning to buy a vacuum cleaner for home. I came across some models. The one which are cheaper are CANISTER type and the others models which are BLOWER type are little expensive. What is the difference ? What are most important specs/feature to be observed while buying them.
